Photographer Dorothy O'Connor graduated from Georgia State University with degrees in Literature and Studio Arts and continued her education at The Creative Circus, a commercial art school in Atlanta. Her photographs feature thoughtfully composed scenes, combining elements of still-life and portraiture to produce unique and evocative works of art. She has contributed photographs to many group shows in the Atlanta area including those juried by renowned exhibitor Marscha Cavaliere as well as Levette Bagwell, features photo editor for the Atlanta Journal Constitution. In both 2005 and 2006, her work was selected by Women In Photography International, an annual listing of the top 100 works by female photographers, juried in 2006 by Joyce Tenneson. Most recently, her work was included in the prestigious Jane Jackson Selects show at the Atlanta Photography Group Gallery, and the 13th annual Women In Focus exhibition, juried by Julian Cox, Curator of Photography at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.
